What cookies do we use?

vdx_consent_v1

Essential · 12 months. Stores your choice on the cookie banner. Without this we would ask you the same question every time you visit.

PHPSESSID

Essential · session. A standard PHP session identifier used to keep your form data safe from cross-site request forgery while you fill out a contact form. Expires when you close the browser tab.

vdx_visit

Functional · 30 days. Set only if you accept the banner. Lets us recognise a returning visitor for the purpose of counting unique sessions in our internal dashboard. Anonymous; no IP attached.

vdx_referrer

Functional · 30 days. Set only if you accept the banner. Records which page brought you to us (Google, a direct link, a referring site). Helps us understand which neighbourhoods are looking for which services.

What cookies we don't use

No Google Analytics
No Facebook pixel
No TikTok or X tracking
No advertising remarketing of any kind
No cross-site behavioural tracking

How to manage cookies

The settings pill in the bottom-left corner of every page reopens the cookie banner. You can switch to "Reject non-essential" at any time, and we will delete the two functional cookies on your next page view.

You can also clear cookies through your browser settings:

Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cookies
Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

Changes

If we ever add a new cookie we update this page and the consent banner version (the "_v1" suffix) so you are asked again. We have not changed the cookie set since launch.
